Hillary Nicole Long and Joshua Adam Barrow were married Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church in Little Mountain. The Reverend John Stoudemayer officiated the 4 p.m. ceremony. A reception immediately followed at the Newberry Shrine Club.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.Ken (Renae) Long of Little Mountain. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Dawkins of Prosperity and Mr. and Mrs. Kenny Long of Little Mountain. Hillary’s great-grandmothers are Mrs. Mary Ruth Long of Little Mountain and Mrs. Doris Wicker of Pomaria. Hillary is a 2011 graduate of Lander University with a Bachelor of Science degree in sociology with emphasis in criminal justice. She is currently employed at The Sunshine House in Greenwood.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe (Jo) Hammett of Abbeville and the late James Otis Barrow III. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Carter of Edgefield and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Woodward of Abbeville. Josh is a 2010 graduate of Lander University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with emphasis in marketing and management. He is currently employed at Intermech Inc. in Aiken.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Main of honor was Melissa Reynolds. Bridesmaids were Amber Bearden, Brittaney Hughes and Casey Barrow, sister-in-law of the groom. Honorary bridesmaids were Sarah Prendergast, Brandi Bagwell and Alexandra Kent. Alyssa Chapin and Clara Wise were the flower girls.

Sawyer Barrow and Otis Barrow, brothers of the groom, served as best men. Groomsmen were Joseph Woodward, grandfather of the groom;and Zach Long, brother of the bride. Ushers were Eric Burton and Dustin Doolittle. Manning Burgess and Preston Dawkins were the ring bearers.

Wedding music was provided by Karen Davis, organist and Cindy Long, vocalist. Program attendants were Jordan Moore, Caylee Burgess and Mackenzie Hipp. Lane Moore, Nathan Hipp and Jackson Burgess served as banner carrier, crucifer and acolyte. Mr. and Mrs. James Point were the register attendants and Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Metts were the reception greeters. The wedding was directed by Tiffany Dawkins.

The couple enjoyed a wedding trip to the Dominican Republic and now resides in Edgefield.
