The November fundraiser event has been canceled by the Little Mountain Reunion Association.

Last month, the association met and had hoped to have an event to raise money for the local Ruritan club, fire department and rescue squads, Masonic lodge and the association itself.

The event was planned to be held in private property next to the town’s Masonic Lodge since the association had talked with an owner of some of the property.

However, the association later found out that another property owner did not want the event held on his or her property.

Woody Kaminer with the association says they will continue to meet and discuss what they may be able to.

Kaminer says they were hoping to have some sort of event to help out the organizations in town since the reunion was canceled.

The association meets the third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the fire department.
