NEWBERRY — John Lewis Taylor, 67, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Palmetto Health Richland.
Born on Nov. 19, 1945, in Bradenton, Fla., he was a son of the late John and Mamie Chance Taylor.
He was a retired small engine repairman and was of the Pentecostal faith.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Southern Taylor; a son, John Taylor Jr. of Bradenton, Fla.; a daughter, Teresa Dean and son-in-law, Jeff Dean of Newberry; a sister, Faye Hollaway of Bradenton, Fla.; grandchildren, Joel, Casey, and Corey Dean all of Newberry and Ashlye and Amber Taylor and Tommy Ansell all of Bradenton, Fla.; great-grandchild, Bentley Dean; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Colleen Yeomans and a brothers, James Taylor and Sam Merritt.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6–8 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
