Newberry High is lucky to have master teacher Coach Bill Harvey.
Harvey began his teaching career at Newberry High in the late 1970’s.
He has seen lots of transition throughout his career and is always willing to be a part of the team as he educates young minds with history.
During his time at Newberry, he has been an assistant coach for football and was the head coach for baseball for many years.
The school’s current baseball field is named for him.
In 2012, he was selected to serve as a coach for the Shrine Bowl.
This honor could not be given to a more deserving coach, teach, mentor, and friend.
