Fourth graders shared a special morning with their grandparents on Sept. 5 in the school cafeteria. The students enjoyed snacks while interviewing their grandparents about their education, career, childhood activities, and families. They conducted the interviews as part of their language arts lesson and then used the information to write descriptive essays. Jeremiah Abrams talks with his grandfather Willie Scott.

Andrew Moss talks with his grandmother Shirley Moss on Sept. 5 for a language arts lesson at Whitmire Community. Moss is a fourth grader who interviewed his grandmother about her past and then wrote a descriptive essay about what he learned.
