A home in Maybinton was destroyed Friday afternoon by a fire.
The fire started early Friday and destroyed the house on Tiger River Road.
The house was near the Maybinton Fire Substation and the mobile home had been added onto.
One firefighter suffered from a heat related injury and was treated at the scene.
The Consolidated, Saint Phillips, and Whitmire fire departments responded to the call.
The Whitmire Rescue Squad and Newberry County EMS and Sheriff’s Office also went to the scene to provide help and assistance.
