So far over 40 pets have been submitted in the cutest pets contest and they all are vying for the winning title.

Votes start Monday but there’s no reason to fret if your favorite pet has not been submitted.

The Observer contest has received mostly dogs but there are also cats, a couple of horses and even Wally the ferret.

In fact, all animals are encouraged to participate and all people are encouraged to vote and tell their friends to vote.

There’s still time as entries may be submitted through Sept. 30.

As for voting, that also continues through Sept. 30.

People are encouraged to vote every day and people may vote up to five times each day.

The steps are as simple as logging into Facebook: Simply log onto www.newberryobserver.com and click on the alternating Cutest Pet logo along the right side of the web page.

Either log in with an existing username and password used for The Observer’s web site or register or log in through your Facebook account.

It’s that easy.
