LITTLE MOUNTAIN — Charles Hamilton “CB” Boland died Dec. 23, 2012, at his home in Little Mountain following a brief battle with cancer.

Born Oct. 1, 1953, he was the son of the late Virgil and Frances Graham Boland.

He is survived by his wife, Julie Underwood Boland; son, Benjamin Charles (Lucy) Boland of Spartanburg; daughter, Laura Elizabeth Boland of Columbia; triplet grandchildren, Charles (Charlie), Reece, and Louise Boland; brothers, Leon Boland and David (Carmen) Boland all of Little Mountain; and sister, Judi (Dan) Wessinger of Prosperity. He was pre-deceased by a sister Bonni Barnes. CB was much loved and admired by nephews and nieces, extended families, co-workers, and many friends.

A 1971 graduate of Mid-Carolina High School, CB attended the University of Georgia and remained a staunch Dawg fan. He loved the outdoors and was a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation and Newberry Dove Club. His true passion was fishing for crappie and enjoying fish fries with family and friends.

A life-long member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, CB formerly sang with the choir and served on the church council.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. Brent Collins.

Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Whitaker Funeral Home in Newberry.

Honorary pallbearers will be Zach Cavanaugh, Jay Underwood, Jacob Boland, Brandon Barnes, Reed Smith, and Broko Boland.

The family expresses heartfelt gratitude for the love, support and prayers offered by so many during CB’s illness.
