Charges have been added in a two car wreck where a Pomaria man was killed and both drivers were under the influence.

David Thomas Craft, 35, of 4674 Highway 34, Pomaria, died at the scene of the 9:50 p.m. Friday crash that occurred about 10 miles east of Newberry near Ringer Road.

According to the S.C. Highway Patrol, Charles Stuck, 35, of Pomaria was driving a 1997 Jeep on Highway 34 when a 2004 Chevrolet in front of him slowed to make a left turn.

Charles Stuck was unable to stop and hit the Chevrolet truck driven by Michael Livingston, 25, of Charleston.

Stuck and a passenger Tim Stuck, 31, of Pomaria, were both not wearing seatbelts and were ejected. They were both taken to Palmetto-Richland Hospital for treatment.

Craft was in the back and was not ejected from the Jeep. He died of blunt force trauma to the head, according to Newberry County Coroner Craig Newton.

Charles Stuck has been charged with felony driving under the influence involving death and felony driving under the influence involving great bodily harm.

Livingston was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

The case is still under investigation.
