CAYCE — On Jan. 8, 2013, Betty J. Anderson passed away peacefully in Cayce.

Mrs. Anderson began her journey on Sept. 4, 1935, in Whitmire. She is the only daughter of Sally Lou Davis and the granddaughter of Mamie Swindler Davis, both of whom are also deceased.

In 1955, Miss Betty Jo Davis married Earl Junis Anderson. Their union lasted 51 years until his passing in 2011. Their family grew to include four children, Tonia, Carlton, Mamye and Whitney; three grandchildren, Marcquis, Angela and Kiersten and three son-in-laws, Allen F. Wicker Jr., William Watkins and Christopher Screen. In addition she is survived by a host of nieces and cousins, including Angie Pickens, Pat Hines, Maisha Anderson, Ernestine Vanlue and Alfreda Price, Cornelia Davis.

Services will be held for Mrs. Anderson on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Little River Zion Baptist Church, Kinards, where she will be laid to rest alongside her loving husband, Earl Anderson.

Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
