Adopt an older animal this month

November is Adopt-A-Senior-Pet Month and the Newberry County Humane Society would like to urge anyone seeking a warm and fuzzy companion, to consider adopting an older animal. Senior pets are more calm, have had some training (might need a little reminder) and are so grateful for a Forever Home. Dogs, depending on the breed or mix, can live to 15-18 years when humanely cared for, and cats can live as long as 20, if kept inside in a safe an secure environment. Adoption is a serious matter and should not be taken lightly. These precious animals are deserving of good homes, love and care, and they have so much love to share.

Please contact Newberry Animal Shelter (803-321-2185) and visit with some sweet furries, who love attention and pets and walks…You may just find your very best friend to share your time with.
