My husband and I experienced problems with our kayak trailer while passing through Newberry last week on the way to our vacation. I would like to recognize two of your businesses that were helpful in getting us back on the road.
First of all, Ashley Wilson of Wilson Marine and his staff are awesome. They were very busy, but agreed to help us if we could find the parts we needed because they didn’t have them in stock. They interrupted their schedule to fit us in and get our vacation started.
Getting the parts for the repair brings us to the second business in town that was so helpful. Richard at NAPA Auto Parts was able to order the parts and have them delivered on a truck that day. He was determined to get us the parts we needed.
In Orangeburg County, we have an initiative called Orangeburg Community of Character where we nominate people who represent different character traits each month. If these two were in Orangeburg, I would nominate them for the character trait of compassion and/or caring. What a wonderful asset Newberry has in these two businesses.
