As we go through life, someone has done us wrong and the hurt we feel doesn’t go away so easily. Is it easy for us to forgive? Of course not.

We often want retribution for wrongs instead of the restoration that will give us the peace and happiness we want.

This restoration happens when we look to Christ who took our sins to the cross. When God looks at us, He sees us as His children not the sinful people that we actually are. He doesn’t see our bitterness for those who have wronged us.

It’s only through the Holy Spirit, that we have Christ’s power to love others and see others the way God sees us. With Christ, it’s possible to let go of the hurts and reach out to others with love.

“And be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” Ephesians 4: 32

We thank God for His forgiveness and for the power to forgive those who have hurt us and done us wrong.
