God is able to work in our lives and make us to be more Christ-like. He can help us to be more compassionate toward others who are hurting and in need.

It’s amazing how our lives change when we accept Christ as our Saviour. He will change our desires and our thoughts. He says we will be a brand new creature. If God is to do the work in our lives that He desires to do, we must talk to Him and listen. The main work God desires to do for us is the work He desires to do in us. He works in us and through us.

We want to be mature Christians, but we have to go through distressing things to help us grow. In the darkest times of our lives we call out to God, and He helps us. We do not know all the answers, but in distress, God teaches us to trust Him.

“Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.” Psalm 4:1

When we give things to God, He gives us peace from trusting Him. God gives us peace.
