NEWBERRY — Newberry College has announced the Wolves’ 2014 women’s soccer schedule, which will feature six home contests at the Smith Road Complex.

The 2014 campaign will be the Wolves first under head coach DeeDee Sanguinetti, who has been assistant coach for two years. Newberry will look to build on last season’s 9-9 campaign which saw the scarlet and gray compile a 5-6 conference record.

The Wolves start the season at home on Sept. 6 with against Gulf South semifinalist Alabama-Huntsville, followed two days later with a game against NCAA Southeast Region finalist Belmont Abbey at home.

Also on the home schedule are South Atlantic Conference foes Lincoln Memorial, Anderson, Carson-Newman, Coker and Lenoir-Rhyne.

On the non-conference slate are longtime opponent USC Aiken, Armstrong and 2013 NCAA South Regional participant Valdosta State.

The Food Lion South Atlantic Championships start with quarterfinals at campus sites on Nov. 4, with the semifinals in Rock Hill on Nov. 7 and Nov. 9.
