MONTEVALLO, Ala. — Newberry College senior third baseman Ryan Cranmer has been named first team all-Southeast Region by DAKTRONICS, as announced May 15.


Cranmer was recently named the first player in the program’s history to earn first team all-South Atlantic Conference more than once. He was one of the top hitters in the conference, standing in a tie for third place in batting average (.376) and fourth in homeruns (10).


His 47 runs scored ranked third in the league and he led the conference in total bases with 116. He was fifth in the conference with 68 hits and eighth in the league with 44 RBIs. He was also 12th in the conference with 11 stolen bases.


Cranmer now advances to the DAKTRONICS All-American ballot, which will be voted on by Division II sports information professionals from across the nation.
