COLUMBUS, Ga. — Newberry senior women’s tennis players Romina Adum and Susana Aguirre have moved up a spot in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division II Women’s Southeast Region Rankings in doubles play, while Aguirre has earned a singles ranking within the Southeast Region.


Announced on Wednesday by the regional chair, Adum and Aguirre have moved to No. 9 in the Southeast Region in doubles. Named All-SAC Second Team, Aguirre and Adum wrapped up the season 18-7 at No. 1 doubles and finished on a five match winning streak.


Aguirre wrapped up the season on a four match winning streak and earned herself a No. 20 regional ranking. Aguirre finished the season 15-14 overall, with an 11-12 mark at No. 1 singles.
