PROSPERITY — The Mid-Carolina C-team hosted Batesburg-Leesville on March 24 and had little mercy on the visiting Panthers.

The Rebels team of seventh, eighth and ninth graders pounded the Panthers 10-0 in a game called after five innings.

The top hitters for the game were Jalen Bates Caldwell with two hits, two runs scored and three runs batted in and Collins Remion with two hits, one run scored and three runs batted in.

Hunter Graham also drove in a run in the second with a textbook a sacrifice bunt on a squeeze play.

For the game the Rebels pounded out seven hits and drew five walks.

Discipline at the plate paid off for Mid-Carolina as no C-team batters struck out in the contest.

Jeb Fulmer pitched all five innings for the Rebels, allowing three hits, three strike outs and just one walk.

The Rebels C-team has a home double header March 29 against Greenwood. First pitch is 11 a.m.
