Newberry at Clinton
Clinton leads the series 55-27-1 since 1921. This is the 40th straight year the two teams have met. This matches the longest streak Newberry has ever had with one team since they played Union each season from 1948-87.
The last time Newberry won two straight times at Clinton was 2001-2002. Newberry defeated both Ware Shoals and Clinton in the 1928 and 1946 seasons.
The last time Newberry opened a season with two straight victories on the road before having a game at home 1985 (Laurens and Union).
The last time Newberry had two straight shut-outs to begin a season was 1969 (Lexington and Woodruff).
Mid-Carolina at Gilbert
Mid-Carolina leads the series 17-8 since 1980. The last time Gilbert won two straight meetings was 2004-05. Mid-Carolina picked up its first win of the season in 1981 and ’93 over Gilbert.
The last time Mid-Carolina had consecutive 0-3 starts was 1960-64. They have met all but two years (2006-07) since 1988.
Whitmire at North Central
North Central leads 3-0 since 1998. First meeting since 1999.
