As the storms came through Newberry last Thursday, a tree came down on the Crisis Pregnancy Center of Lake Murray (CPCLM), 1601 Martin Street in Newberry. No one was hurt, however we did suffer loss. We do have a very large deductible. So I’m asking our readers for help. Would you pull together and help us recoup our losses and reopen the center as soon as possible?
The building repairs will start after the debris is cleared, which we will hope will soon. CPCLM is not responsible for covering the building just our content.
We need: two small executive desks, a new or ‘like new’ desktop computer and two laptops, phones, reception chairs, a stereo, various office supplies, large file cabinet with lock and key, small two-drawer file cabinet, along with various little furnishings and equipment. If you would be willing to donate any of these items or money towards these items, please call Michelle Nicholson at 803-728-0969 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please keep us in your prayers. As this all happened on the very week that we expanded our hours (M, W, TH, F 10-5) and God brought three new volunteers to help with the expansion. This is not a setback, but rather a “set up” for Him to do something big for the CPCLM. Maybe he is ushering in a new location with more space for programs, clients, volunteers and staff.
