The Whitmire Economic Development Board members have the Family and Youth oriented event- “Art In The Park-Show & Sale” planned for Aug.t 23 at Heritage Park. This day-long event will offer food, music, crafts and art.
Children and youth will have the chance to have art lessons and create art under supervision with kids in the park and face painting. Art for sale includes photography and paintings.
The student art tent will feature a variety from Union, Newberry and Laurens Counties. There will be plenty of food and music. The stage: Strand Amphitheater in Heritage Park will be filled with musicians.
A variety of Gospel and Christian music will be played. Interested musicians, duo, groups, choirs can contact The Economic Board on their Facebook page or contact Executive Director Maria McMurtury. The board members have the October Breast Cancer Awareness Health Walk” — “ Save The Ta-Tas” on Oct. 4. The downloadable sign up forms are on their Facebook page .
