God is our source of everything. He is our joy, our peace, and our strength. He is everything we need.
When He sent His Son, Jesus to live among us and die for our sins, He knew we did not and would never deserve this kind of love. He also knew we would continue to mess up as long as we live. We could never save ourselves, so He gave His life for us.
Knowing that God’s Son died a cruel death on an old rugged cross so that we could have an intimate relationship with him makes me love him more. Even when we mess up we can go to the Father and say please forgive me, I’ve messed up again, and He will.
At times I’m sure He is disappointed in the way we act and the things we do, but His love for us never changes.
“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not, and if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; And he is the propitiation for our sins: And not for ours only, but for the sins of the whole world.” I John 2:1-2
God’s love for us is so wonderful, He looked beyond our faults and saw our needs. He is always ready and willing to help us, when we mess up.
