As the parade wound down Main Street Whitmire, horses, including a horse drawn cart, led the way at one point.
This patriotic young lady enjoyed candy as the parade passed by.
Veterans looked on somberly as names were read and they reflected upon their years of service.
Cold drinks went down easy on a warm day as these children watched the parade.
As they say in Whitmire, “a fun time was had by all” who attended the festival.
