The 37th S.C. Junior Match Play Championship was held this week at the Country Club of Newberry by the Carolinas Golf Association. Approximately 124 golfers between the ages of 8 and 18 qualified but only the top 64 made it to round one. Will Eckstein of Newberry (holding putter) is shown preparing to make his shot while Jake Montgomery of Newberry tees off to begin his round Wednesday on Hole 10. Kiana Jones from Columbia is also pictured teeing off Wednesday afternoon. The rounds were separated between boys and girls.
