NEWBERRY — Piedmont Technical College is hosting an opportunity to revel in the magic of Italy during its Reflections of Italy Tour scheduled for April 13-22, 2015.
A free information session about the trip will be held Aug. 28 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Room 219-C of the James C. Self Conference Center on the Lex Walters Campus-Greenwood. A representative from Collette Vacations will be there to show slides of the trip and answer any questions.
There is no obligation to take part in the trip by attending this free session, but participants who register at the session or before Oct. 14 will receive a $250 discount. Travelers will receive 150 loyalty dollars when they return from the trip to use toward another trip within a year.
This tour explores the cities of Rome, Florence, Siena, Venice, Assisi, Perugia and Como. Travel the Tuscan and Umbrian countryside, exploring medieval hill towns and visiting the birthplace of St. Francis of Assisi. Discover the masterpieces of the Renaissance in Florence and see hot glass transformed into exquisite art on Murano Island. Linger in Venice for two nights before ending your journey in the lovely Italian Lake region. Cross the border and explore the Swiss resort town of Lugano.
The cost of this 10-day trip, including travel, lodging and 14 meals, is $4,209 per person based on double occupancy.
