GREENWOOD — Organizers of the Upper Savannah Regional Job Fair have announced that 50-plus employers have already signed up for this month’s event but are encouraging more employers to participate.
The bi-annual Upper Savannah Regional Job Fair will be held at Greenwood Mall from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 30. There is no charge to participate.
Despite the 50-plus employers who have registered, there is room for more. It does not matter if an employer wants to hire one employee or 50, as long as they plan to hire within the next four months.
Employers from the Upper Savannah region of Abbeville, Edgefield, Greenwood, Laurens, McCormick, Newberry and Saluda counties will be encouraged to have booths at the fair. Employers from Upper Savannah’s surrounding counties will also be invited.
People who are unemployed or interested in changing careers are encouraged to attend and visit the employer booths. Job seekers should dress as if they are going for an interview and bring plenty of resumes. There will also be workshops with topics involving careers and how to look for jobs, etc.
A list of employers is available at www.upperscworks.com/jobFair.php.
