• Oct. 13: Jennifer Morrison, education chair, and Dr. Chris Sheppard, director of choral activities.

• Oct. 20: Victor Vallo, director of music chair; violinist Thalia Vallo; and Mike Beggs, professor of religion. Beggs will announce the recipient of Cherrington-Beggs Memorial Scholarship, named in honor of his wife, the late Sally Cherrington-Beggs. Sally Beggs served as chair of Newberry College’s music department and was the college’s organist from 2000 until her premature death in March 2012. She also served for several years as organist as St. Stephens’s Lutheran Church. Dine-in and take-out meals will be available.

• Oct. 27: Maurice Scherrens, president of Newberry College. Singers and Madrigals and bass and jazz ensembles will perform. The pre-service will feature jazz music from the Newberry College Jazz Club. The sermon will be delivered by Pastor Jim Connelly, a 1954 Newberry College graduate. The Newberry College Singers and the alumni singers who are in attendance will offer the choral benediction. Scherrens will share his vision for Newberry College in a brief presentation from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the gym.
