NEWBERRY — The Newberry Livestock Shows were held this past weekend at the Newberry Fairgrounds and more than 115 youth brought nearly 200 animals, dairy cows, beef cows, chickens and meat goats to town to vie for a chance at ribbons and over $2,700 in premium money.


Sponsors included Ag South Farm Credit, the American Jersey Cattle Association, Chappells Nursery and Garden Center, Derrick Equipment, Newberry County Farm Bureau, Kneece’s Car Care and Express Lube, the Newberry County Cattlemen’s Association, Newberry Electric Cooperative, Satterwhite Farm, State Farm Insurance with H. George Piersol II, Stokes Trainor, Newberry Tractor Supply Company, West Fraser Timber Company, Willingham and Sons Building Supply and Septic Tanks and Wilson Tractor.
