PROSPERITY — Mid-Carolina High School was privileged to have 31 students in grades 9-12 juried into the South Carolina State Fair this year. Throughout the entire state only 190 entries were on exhibition. Congratulations to the following winners: Meliza Pascual, Merit award, 9th grade; Amber Smith, 1st place, photography, 9th grade; Kristin Long, Merit award, 12th grade; MeKayla Manning, 3rd Place, photography, 12th grade; Erin Counts, second place, 2-D, 11th grade; Andrea Martinez, merit award, 2-D, 9th grade; Hannah Brooks, merit award, 10th grade; and Josh Eller, 3rd Place, photography, 11th grade. Congratulations to art teacher Debbie Murphy for receiving the Art Educator Secondary Level Achievement Award given for the most winning entries for any high school program in the state.
