NEWBERRY – ETV has partnered with Colonial Williamsburg to broadcast their Electronic Field Trips into South Carolina schools, including Prosperity-Rikard Elementary School from Newberry County Schools.
Live and designed for students to ask questions of the Colonial Williamsburg historians and re-enactors, the Emmy-winning program airs monthly on The South Carolina Channel, a free antenna television service like its sister stations ETV and ETV World. The first program aired Oct. 10. A new program will air each month through April 2014.
The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation and sponsoring donors have provided funding for 23 South Carolina schools, including Prosperity-Rikard Elementary School, to receive scholarships that provide special materials to the classroom.
