NEWBERRY — The Newberry Community Players will hold auditions for their Imaginations Alley Children Theatre play “Alice in Wonderland” at 6 p.m. Jan. 12 and Jan. 13 Central United Methodist Church.

Those planning to audition are asked to use the Johnstone Street Education Building entrance. All students ages 5 to 18 are invited to audition. Some older students might be assigned more production level positions. While those students who can read will be asked to read scenes, no scene preparation is required before hand.

The production will be matched with classes in acting, costume design, set construction, makeup and more thanks to support from the Bill and Mary Carter Charitable Foundation. The classes will be free but will require a time commitment.

Parents are asked to bring their calendars and attend auditions for an information session.

“Alice in Wonderland” will be presented at The Ritz Theatre in Downtown Newberry on March 28 through March 30. Friday and Saturday productions are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday’s matinee is at 3 p.m.
