NEWBERRY — The Newberry County Water and Sewer Authority recently gave service awards to Bobby Harrison, Leo Crowley, and Ray Singley for their years of service to the company.
A native of Winnsboro, Harrison began his wastewater career with the Town of Winnsboro and has over 21 years of experience in the wastewater industry. Harrison has worked 15 years for NCWSA.
Currently a licensed wastewater operator, Harrison manages the Cannons Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant and the NCWSA wastewater collection system.
Crowley has worked five years with the company. Raised in a military family, Crowley traveled the world prior to settling in Newberry. Currently, he works on the NCWSA water distribution crew where his responsibilities include emergency repair of water main breaks, installation of new water services and general maintenance of the water distribution system.
Singley has also dedicated five years to the NCWSA. A native of Newberry, Singley began his career as a wastewater operator while working for Allied Chemical in Irmo.
He has over 20 years of experience in wastewater treatment. Currently, Singley works as a licensed wastewater operator at the Cannons Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant.
