NEWBERRY — High school students from Newberry Academy traveled to Spartanburg on Nov. 25 to view a Chamber Theatre Production.

The performance of “Encore” included a series of classic short stories that had been adapted for the stage. These included The Tell-Tale Heart, The Necklace, The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County and more.

The production provided an enjoyable way for students to experience these stories, and was particularly relevant to those in English III who are studying American Literature.

“Seeing it onstage really brought the stories to life. I can’t wait to go to the theatre again,” said sophomore Colton Larson.

Nichole May is an English teacher at Newberry Academy.
