Two injured in Hogansville Road wreck

Troup County firefighters extricated the driver of a green Buick after a crash this morning on Hogansville Road near Callaway High School .


According to Georgia State Patrol Trooper Brad Turner, a red Dodge Dakota, occupied by four teens, was attempting to pass a slower driving vehicle in the northbound lane in the 3800 block of Hogansville Road at about 8 a.m. The Dodge driver steered to the left to avoid collision with the vehicle and a green Buick in the southbound lane steered right, causing them to crash on the southbound shoulder of the roadway, Turner said. The female driver of the Buick was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta and the passenger was transported to West Georgia Medical Center. None of the teens were injured.


The female driver was extricated from this green Buick following a crash on Hogansville Road at about 8 a.m. She was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries; the passenger was taken to West Georgia Medical Center.
