Burglary/Forced Entry Non Resident

The Troup County Sheriffs Department responded to a call on Monday just after noon to a burglary in the 3000 block of Hogansville Road.

The complainant said several weapons were taken including: two shotguns, a .22 caliber Remington, an air pistol, a BB gun, and a cap gun toy. Also missing were a Ryobi portable radio, a Honeywell fan, and thirty dollars in quarters.

Deputies are still investigating.

Simple Battery/Family Violence/Cruelty to Children

In West Point, Investigators arrested 27 year old David Cornell Tumbs for simple battery, family violence, and cruelty to children in the third degree.

No additional information was available.
