Parade honors veterans, supports school restoration

Veterans were honored in the Old Pomaria School Reunion Parade this year.

The parade begins on a route that leads it up Main Street to its eventual conclusion at the Old Pomaria School.

These veterans, shown on one of the lead parade floats, were honored Saturday for their service.

Bailey Rose Meetze, enjoys a freeze pop handed out along the parade route by St. Paul Lutheran Church members.

Camden and Andie Livingston relax as they watch the floats pass by.

Jose Pena enjoys playing horseshoes in the children’s area which held games and crafts.

Singers from Little Mountain Elementary and Pomaria-Garmany Elementary performed a medley of patriotic songs under the direction of Marcie Blanchard.

Several Popping John tractors made appearances in the parade.

All veterans in attendance were given medals in honor of their service to this country. Pictured are those veterans standing in front of the elementary school singers.

Madison Ringer does some duck hunting at this festival game.

Avari Suber was one of several soloists performing at the festival.
