NEWBERRY — The Newberry County Career Center FFA hosted its fall awards banquet Nov. 9 to recognize students who display outstanding achievement in premier leadership, personal growth, and career success as well as to honor school district and community members who support agriculture education in Newberry County.


In attendance and recognized for their contributions to the agriculture program were Newberry County Career Center director, Buddy Livingston; School Board Chair Jody Hamm; members of the Newberry County Agricultural Expo, Kenny and Cherie Graham; Ellett Brothers’ Sales Representative, Beverly Boulware; and Inman Shooting Supplies’ Owner, Kenny Inman.


A benefit drawing was held to raise funds for the agriculture program. Dave Cummings was awarded the grand prize of a Remington 12-gauge shotgun. Hugh Bickley was awarded a cash voucher of $300, and Leona Kiker won a cash voucher of $100.
