Newberry DSN recognizes staff, individuals

Michelle Sanders was recognized on Sept. 25 for 10 years of service with Newberry Disabilities and Special Needs Board.
Newberry Disabilities and Special Needs Board and the Ruth S. Pugh Foundation honored the recipients of the 2013 Employee of the Year and Self-Advocate of the Year Awards. From left are, Holly Astwood, 2013 Newberry Disabilities and Special Needs Employee of the Year; Harold Folk, chairman of the Ruth S. Pugh Foundation; and Fred Wilson, 2013 Self-Advocate of the Year. Astwood serves as a service coordinator for Newberry DSN Board, and Wilson works with Grasshoppers Lawn Care, a service provided through Newberry Industries. The nominees for these awards were submitted by co-workers, and the recipients were chosen by a committee comprised of staff and Ruth S. Pugh Foundation members.
Kristy Berley was recognized on Sept. 25 for completing five years of service with Newberry Disabilities and Special Needs Board.
