NEWBERRY — The City of Newberry fire department will hold its annual golf tournament on July 18. The tournament was originally scheduled for April, but was rescheduled due to weather.

The tournament will tee off at 9 a.m. at the Newberry County Club. Registration is from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. The hole in one prize is for hole 17 and will be a 2015 Buick Encore. There are currently nine teams of four signed up to participate. Breakfast and lunch will be provided to participants.

Currently there are 12 teams signed up, but the tournament is able to host 25. If you would like to sign up for the golf tournament call 803-321-1030.

Proceeds will go toward the fire department’s annual Kids Fun Day, held on the second Sunday in September (Sept. 13). Proceeds will also go to MUSC’s Children’s Burn Center in Charleston.
