This is the time of year we celebrate the birth of Jesus. We may not know the exact day and time, but we know and believe that He was born of a virgin, in a manger in Bethlehem.

As we celebrate Christmas with our family and friends, let’s not forget the true meaning of our celebration.

God sent us His Only Begotten Son as a gift of eternal life. His desire is that everyone accept this gift, and have a home in Heaven.

Most people want anything that is free. Salvation is free to everyone, but so many want accept it. We don’t work for it, and there is no way we can be good enough to earn it. God wants us just as we are. After accepting Jesus our wants and desires will change, and that only comes from having a personal relationship with Jesus.

Joseph and Mary went to be taxed.

“And so it was, that while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her first born son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.” Luke 6-7

My prayer is that everyone have a blessed Christmas and a blessed New Year. Open your heart and let Jesus in.
