NEWBERRY — The City of Newberry Parks, Recreation and Tourism will hold registration for youth baseball and softball from January 16 through February 15.
Youth baseball and softball is open to boys and girls ages 3-16 with the birthday cut-off date of September 1. The cost to register is $30 for city residents who provide their City Utility Bill as proof of residency and $50 for non-city residents.
Leagues are grouped by age and include Pre Tee – Ages 3-4; Tee Ball – Ages 4-6; Training – Ages 6-8; Minors Baseball – Ages 8-10; Majors Baseball – Ages 11-13; Junior Baseball – Ages 13-16; Girls Softball – Ages 8-11; and Junior Girls Softball – Ages 12-15. Any participant who is age 4, 6, 8 or 13 can choose which league to participate in based on experience level.
