NEWBERRY — Jason Huggins, father of Newberry Academy fourth grader Justin Huggins and second grader J.P. Huggins, spoke to the second and fourth grade classes about his role as a solider in the U.S. Army. Huggins, who is currently stationed in Fort Knox, Ky., shared his deployment experiences and answered questions.

He even surprised the students by sharing that he was a former Newberry Academy student, and fondly remembered his fourth grade teacher, Sylvia Gibson.
