NEWBERRY — June 19 through June 23 marks the 21st annual “National Mosquito Control Awareness Week” by the American Mosquito Control Association (AMCA).

In an effort to help keep City of Newberry residents, their family members and their pets protected throughout the mosquito season, our in-house mosquito control authority Mac Bartley, public works director, will be offering a free, informative awareness presentation.

The presentation will be held in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 1330 College Street from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. June 21. It will be open to the public. Seating is limited.

Contact Jennie O’Shields at 803-321-1000 to reserve your seat.

The AMCA, an international organization of nearly 2,000 public health professionals has been dedicated to preserving the public’s health and well-being through safe, environmentally sound mosquito control programs since 1935.
