NEWBERRY — Reuben Elementary School recently celebrated Read Across America Week, featuring readers from the District Office and the community who came in and read to students.

Teachers decorated their doors and students dressed each day for the fun. Teachers also wore special Cat in the Hat shirts to show their support for reading.

Everyone dressed as their favorite story character and had a parade around the school for parents and friends. After the parade students enjoyed popcorn and drinks provided by the PTO as teachers read to the students.
