COLUMBIA — All Francis Marion and Sumter National Forests offices and ranger stations will be closed Nov. 24 in observance of Thanksgiving and will resume regular business hours Nov. 25 at 8 a.m.

The forests stretch across the state from Walhalla to McClellanville and offer a variety of nature-based recreational opportunities such as hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, horseback riding, off-highway vehicle and motorcycle trail riding, boating, hunting, fishing, camping, picnicking, birding – or just enjoying the scenery.
