LITTLE MOUNTAIN — The Town of Little Mountain will hold their annual Christmas Drop-In on Dec. 11 from 2-4 p.m. This year Mayor Jana Jayroe would like to make sure more people are invited to the Drop In.

“I would like to get the world out a little better,” she said.

The plan is to send flyers to the local churches, as they do every year. However, they will also send the word out to the local Boy Scout troops and Jayroe will let other municipalities know so they can also spread the word.

Councilman Jeff Jefcoat recommended that they send a more formal invitation to the newest residents of Little Mountain. He also added that the town has seen a lot of new families move in than he has ever seen.

The Drop In will take place at the Senior/Community Center, 16 Depot St. in Little Mountain.

Other business

• Council passed an ordinance to abolish the Architectural Review Board. The motion passed after Jefcoat made the motion and Councilwoman Susan Epting seconded.

• Little Mountain will host the next Governmental Association meeting on Jan. 30, 2017.

• Council discussed the next Movies in the Park, and discussed the idea of having at least two, possibly both in May.
