CLINTON — Whitten Center recently recognized Adrienne Williams as the April-June 2016 Employee of the Quarter.

Whitten Center and its Parents’ Club recognize an Employee of the Quarter for going above and beyond the call of duty. Employees are nominated by their peers/co-workers to be recognized, and a selection committee reviews the nominations.

Employees selected for this quarterly award will be among the nominations considered for the 2016 Whitten Center Employee of the Year.

“Whitten Center is truly blessed to have Adrienne as an employee,” said Mary Gilliam, residential administrator. “She always takes time with consumers to let them know how special they are and she is always looking for fun outings and activities they will enjoy. Adrienne is a great leader and mentor to other staff in the unit, always willing to assist where she is needed, and willing to work additional shifts to ensure the consumers are taken care of to ensure adequate coverage.”

Whitten Center works to assist those with disabilities and their families to address individual needs, empower minds, promote growth in skills and abilities, and facilitate social interaction and community involvement. This is done in a setting that encourages independence balanced with a safe, secure, and supportive environment.
