NEWBERRY — Newberry College will celebrate the grand opening of its new Chick-fil-A Express restaurant at 11 a.m. Saturday at its location in Kaufmann Hall on the Newberry campus.

“Chick-fil-A Express opened to the campus community Aug. 23 for the first day of classes,” said Sodexo general manager Tiffany Bell. Sodexo manages the College’s food service operations, including Chick-fil-A Express.

“The new restaurant had a very successful campus opening, finishing number one among the licensee Chick-fil-A operations opening that day,” Bell said. “It has received an enthusiastic response from both the campus and the local community.”

The grand opening is one of several events on-campus Saturday.
