NEWBERRY — Aveleigh Presbyterian Church, 1211 Calhoun St. in Newberry, will showcase the children who attended its Vacation Bible School with a special presentation at the 9:15 a.m. service on July 31.

The children will sing some of the songs they learned and a slide show of their Cave Quest themed Vacation Bible School will be shown.

Organizers said the emphasis for this year’s Vacation Bible School was Compassion International, which serves as an advocate for children to release them from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible and fulfilled Christian adults.

Vacation Bible School was attended by 51 children with more than 45 volunteers helping out.
