Army promotes Lyden to Chief Warrant Officer Four

Tim Lyden, principal at Prosperity-Rikard Elementary School, was recently promoted in the U.S. Army to Chief Warrant Officer Four. Lyden serves in the U.S. Army Reserve as the Commander and Bandmaster of the 208th Army Band in Concord, N.C. He has 29 years of service in the U.S. Armed Forces. Lyden’s Army band has performed numerous concerts at the Newberry Opera House and has appeared at the annual Fourth of July fireworks event at Newberry High School. Lyden’s wife, Katherina, is a teacher at Newberry Middle School.
